Alex Pavlotski is an anthropologist and award-winning non-fiction comic artist based at the University of Auckland. His fieldwork in Kyiv during the Maidan revolution and subsequent (ongoing) conflict contributed to this work, which is based on first hand experience and the testimonies of those involved.
